Four hurdles to check before booking

Large resorts can mean long walks between your room, the restaurant and the beach. When booking, ask for a room close to the main restaurant and on the ground floor or with a lift, and have it confirmed.

On the water: check boarding and duration together

Anyone unsteady on their feet chooses the boat by its motion, not by its destination.

The luxury Orange Bay cruise with lunch lasts eight and a half hours according to our catalogue. That is the duration of this offer, not a fixed duration for large boats. Have seating, shade, a toilet and any stairs needed to reach them confirmed for the actual vessel.

Anyone who wants to snorkel should ask in advance how to get back on board afterwards. Getting from the water back onto the boat is, for many people, the hardest moment of the whole day.

El Mamsha. The tourist promenade runs between hotels, cafés and shops. Plan a short section from your hotel and ask to see the access route, including kerbs and road crossings; a continuously step-free route has not been verified. Luxor and Cairo: what an overnight stay or flight changes

Luxor involves a long journey there and back, plus walking between temples and tombs. An overnight stay spreads the outward and return journeys across two days but does not shorten either drive. Take care with the offer from €184.82 per person: the two-day Luxor tour with a hotel also includes a hot-air balloon flight according to the catalogue.
